I worked closely with Magnus for seven months on the Experience Design Team at B&O. Yet… I never fully understood what he did. Because Magnus is a high-tech designer and I was a copywriter with no design experience and only a layman's understanding of technology.
Magnus saw structures and patterns behind physical reality, that I never could. From my perspective, he pulled ideas out of thin air and hypothesized solutions that I could barely fathom. But then I saw him build those solutions. And I saw the concepts turn into magic. His talent, creativity and insight alone made me a believer. Later, I got to know him. He's a little shy at first. And he has a problem that I too had at his age: He possesses a surprising amount of specialist knowledge for someone who looks like he could be in a boy band.
