About Me

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of becoming an inventor. As a child, I imagined inflatable bike helmets and sidewalks that generated power, and I could never stop asking why we do things the way we do. And I still can’t. Every time I try a new product, I’m not just evaluating how well it works, but constantly thinking about how it could be improved. And to this day, it's still that very same thought pattern that drives me in my work.

I’m focused on creating products that, in every aspect, elevate the user experience. It shouldn’t just feel like using a product, but like an extension of one’s senses—something natural and seamless, blending effortlessly into everyday life.

By collaborating closely with engineers and stakeholders, I turn ideas into reality, refining every detail to shape the future of technological interactions. My approach blends analytical thinking with a commitment to continuous learning, keeping me at the forefront of innovation in technology and design.

    Lyle Clarke

    Director, Product Design

October 2, 2023, Lyle managed Magnus directly

I wholeheartedly recommend Magnus, a prodigious talent with whom I had the privilege to work as a manager and mentor at B&O at the start of his career.

Magnus excels as a concept designer. His approach to designing technology-infused experiences sits at the nexus of "The best design is as little design as possible" and "Design is not just how it looks, it's how it makes you feel."

He embodies serious curiosity, is continuously learning, and combines excellent analytical thinking with a deep felt desire to make experiences better on every axis. Magnus stays updated with the latest technologies and applies them pragmatically in his designs, hitting the sweet spot of being both practical and remarkable.

Magnus is also a fantastic problem solver. His tenacity and drive for continuous high-paced learning in the service of the mission make him a tremendous asset to any ambitious team working at the intersection of design and technology. His ability to communicate complex design concepts in a simple, understandable manner and his collaborative approach make him a cherished and respected team member throughout the organisation.

Magnus is more than just a designer and a problem solver; he's a visionary. His work at B&O at the start of his career has already set a high bar. I am confident he will deliver increasingly incredible breakthroughs and easy-to-use experiences in his future endeavors.

Magnus receives my utmost recommendation for any advanced experience design roles. I am excited for all our futures with the dent he can make in the universe.

    Troels Høegh

    UXW & Copywriting

August, 2023, worked with Magnus on the same team.

I worked closely with Magnus for seven months on the Experience Design Team at B&O. Yet… I never fully understood what he did. Because Magnus is a high-tech designer and I was a copywriter with no design experience and only a layman's understanding of technology.

Magnus saw structures and patterns behind physical reality, that I never could. From my perspective, he pulled ideas out of thin air and hypothesized solutions that I could barely fathom. But then I saw him build those solutions. And I saw the concepts turn into magic. His talent, creativity and insight alone made me a believer.

Later, I got to know him. He's a little shy at first. And he has a problem that I too had at his age: He possesses a surprising amount of specialist knowledge for someone who looks like he could be in a boy band. When you're young, look younger and have the knowledge of an old soul, it can be hard to convince those of us who can't see what you can. That's why this is for both Magnus and future employers.

To Magnus: Wear your glasses during meetings. I noticed a shift in my own pitching skills when my eyes got old before I did – and there's behavioural science to support it.

To recruiters: If your boss or client thinks that ability follows seniority, find someone else. Magnus is too good for you. But if you're looking for creative and conceptual talent beyond years and a friendship you'll cherish, Magnus will bring you both measurable and immeasurable value.

My professional impression of Magnus is of the highest degree. But my recommendation is personal. Because I see some of myself in him. Except when I was his age, I was kinda clever. Magnus might be a genius.
